Kaiapoi Community Board 2007-2010
The Kaiapoi Community Board comprises of 6 elected members and 3 Councillors appointed by the Council. With a Chairman and Deputy Chair our Community Board is as follows:

The Kaiapoi Community Board meets monthly on the 3rd Monday of each month meeting starting at 4pm. This meeting is open to the public. They also meet in between Monthly meetings to discuss upcoming community events with staff of the Waimakariri District Council to keep projects moving along.
The Jurisdiction of the Kaiapoi Community Board is,
to represent, and act as an advocate for the interests of its community.
The consideration of and reporting on all matters referred to it by the territorial authority or any matter of interest or concern to the community board.
The overview of road works, water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, parks recreational facilities, community activities, and traffic management within the community.
The preparation of an annual submission to the budgetary process of the territorial authority for expenditure with the community.
Communication with community organisations and special interest groups within the community.
To perform such other functions as the Waimakariri District Council may delegate to the Board..
